Steven F. Hamor Jr., 55, passed away Sept. 3, 2018, at his home after a courageous battle with renal cell cancer.
Steven was born Dec. 28, 1962, in Bar Harbor to Steven F. Hamor Sr. and Patricia (Black) Hamor. He graduated from MDI High School in 1981. He was employed as a caretaker for 25 years at Astor’s Greenhouse and for 10 years at LLC NEH Haven.
Steven enjoyed snowmobiling in the wintertime with his best friend, Mike Kelley of Northeast Harbor. He also liked watching NASCAR racing on television, with his pit-bull “Rev” by his side. Aside from work, Steven thrived on the time that he could spend with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Steven is survived by his wife, Linda, his parents, his children, Liza P. Hamor Kreinus and husband, Steven, of Tremont, Johnathan D. Hamor of Waltham, Tabbatha L. Osier of Mount Desert, Tiffany B. Osier of Lamoine and Cody S. Hamor of Tremont. Grandchildren, Trinity Jade Reynolds, Brookelynn Paige Osier, Maesen A. Hamor, Jaxson Nicholas Hamor, Noah John Kreinus and Keagan Hamor. Brother Edward Scott Hamor and wife, Jackie Hamor, of Eastbrook. Nephews, William Hamor and Ryan DeVisme, niece Trisha Hamor-Morris, sister-in-law Kathy DeVisme and brother-in-law Michael DeVisme. Aunts and uncles, Carol and Albert Hamor and Helga and Richard Hamor. Also great-nieces and a great-nephew. He was predeceased by his nephew Nicholas Hamor.
A graveside service will be held on Steven and Linda’s wedding anniversary of 27 years at 2 p.m., Oct. 12 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Northeast Harbor.
