BANGOR – James Arthur Jordan Jr., loving and loyal son, brother and friend, passed away peacefully at Eastern Maine Medical Center on Thursday, April 28, 2016.
Jim was born in Waterville on June 15, 1959. He grew up on the family farm in Pinelawn, N.Y., until the family moved to Blue Point, N.Y. As a teenager he worked digging clams and in boat yards on the Great South Bay.
He graduated from Ohio Diesel Technical Institute and worked as a master mechanic, finally retiring from the City of Bangor Motor Pool for health reasons in 2014.
Jim’s favorite pastimes were being outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, motorcycling and listening to a variety of music.
We thank his numerous friends who flocked to his side and to the aide of the family in his last days. We know he was loved and is sorely missed.
A service in celebration of Jim’s life will be held in Maine in August and for family and friends in Blue Point, N.Y., in November. He will be interred in the family plot in Pinelawn, N.Y.
