FRANKLIN

Gloria Reed Mosley, 88, passed away on April 7, 2018, at a local health care facility. Her strong will and health succumbed to dementia, which she fought valiantly for several years. Gloria was born on Oct. 16, 1929, in Franklin, the youngest of six children born to the late E. Dalton and Della Goodwin Reed. Her many friends and acquaintances will remember her quick wit and sharp responses.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ray L. Mosley (April 2011), her sisters Avis Grindle, Erma Williams, Adah Piper, brothers Dalton and Lloyd and granddaughter Rae Lynn.

Those family members who hold her in their loving memory are her daughters JoAnn Cawood (Roy Glodis) of Portsmouth, Va., and Diane Connelly (Tim) of Waldoboro, sons Norman (Marghi) of Bridgewater, N.J., Randy (Regina) of Ellsworth and Steven (Julie) of Franklin. Six cherished grandchildren, Nathan, Randi Lynn, Katelyn, Matthew, Allyson, and Donald (Jill). Great-granddaughter Blake and great-grandson Donald III. Also surviving Gloria are seven nephews and two nieces. She will be especially missed by special friends Albert Richards and Tabatha Coombs, who were instrumental in helping her remain at home for so many years.

A graveside service will be held at Bayview Cemetery in Franklin on June 23, 2018, at 11 a.m. If you would like to honor Gloria’s memory, please consider a contribution to the Flags over Franklin Program c/o The Franklin Veterans Club, P.O. Box 66 Franklin, ME 04634.
