OGDENSBURG, N.Y.
Mary Danné Adair
Selfless. Infectious. Loyal. There are very few people whom possess the attributes that this woman possessed. Mary Danné Adair died on April 4, 2018. Mary loved helping others, working on her farm in Maine, gardening, rescuing feral cats, playing with her three dogs, CNN, chocolate marshmallow candy, heirloom tomatoes and her husband, Raj. Not necessarily in that order. She hated that there were people in the world who were suffering and Donald Trump. Not necessarily in that order. She was a dynamic psychotherapist who worked tirelessly to help all those in need, never turning anyone down.
Mary was also great at growing plants, cooking many dishes with her home-grown heirloom tomatoes, shopping for the best deals and honoring her husband over the last 33 years. When it came to her family, Mary was the best at making her children feel loved, adored and wanted. And she loved doing all of it. Mary loved creating memories, making friends and finding bargains. And you could be sure that Mary always gave everything she did 100 percent. Mary loved to share stories about a new cat she had just rescued or to share news about a friend, as she had many.
While Mary, herself, had many heroes, she was the hero to her five children: Chad, Dawn, Michelle, Danné and Ashwini. Mary adored these ladies. And each of them adored her. For more than 30 years, Mary helped clients, friends, and strangers through life’s difficulties. And each of them adored her. At an early age, Mary married. While it didn’t last, out of it came two lovely daughters. Mary was not a quitter, so she tried again. It, too, did not last, but out of it came two more wonderful daughters. The third time, she found the love of her life. For 33 years, she loved, honored and cherished Pakkam Rajasekaran, and with him came a lovely daughter.
Preceded in death are Mary’s parents, Bill and Olean Adair, and a sister, Vonnie Allen. Although Mary has departed from this world, she leaves behind her daughters, Chad Kessel, Dawn Fletcher and husband, John, Michelle Bell and husband, Wesley, Danné Delano and husband, Peter, and Ashwini Hull and husband, Jim, and a sister Marian Marshall. Let’s not forget about her eight delightful grandchildren: Andrew Kessel, John Fletcher, Charles Fletcher, Robert Benca, Ana Benca, Lucy Bell, Carys Hull and Jamie Hull. Also, Mary had several nieces and one nephew whom she loved dearly.
Finally, she cherished dear friends: Virgil Vallie, Sitie Parcell, Wayne and Cheryl Ladouceur, among numerous others.
A memorial service will be held to honor Mary on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 a.m. Condolences and fond memories can also be shared on www.foxandmurrayfuneralhome.com.
