HANCOCK
Marcus William Clemons Sr. passed to the next plane of life on his 86th birthday, March 13, 2018. His wife of 50 years, Charlene (Fox) Clemons, and their three sons, Bryant and his wife, Deana, Marcus Jr. and Wade were with him. The son of Shirley Girard and Audrey Frances (Clark) Clemons, he grew up in Sullivan.
Marcus served in the United States Air Force for eight years and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a life member of the DAV, a member of the Hancock County Genealogical Society, the Washington County Historical and Genealogical Society and the Hancock Historical Society.
In addition to his wife and their sons Marcus is survived by his fur babies, Chloe, Missy, Squiggley and Baby Gray. He is also survived by his grandson Michael and a daughter and three sons and their families from his first marriage. He was predeceased by his step-grandson, Kevin Dyer.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral service. His ashes will be buried in the spring at Woodbine Cemetery in Ellsworth.
