Fletchers Landing
Mary Ann Rankin, 69, of Fletchers Landing passed away peacefully on July 22 at her home after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
She was born in Bangor on Sept. 22, 1952. She married Bucky Rankin Jr. on July 6, 2002, at Fletchers Landing.
Mary Ann was a hard worker and loved her job, watching movies with her husband, day trips to Bar Harbor, fishing and relaxing while watching the sun set on the water in their yard. She worked at Hancock Foods for over 30 years as a blueberry sorter and Christmas wreath and centerpiece assembler.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Charlie Rowe, Clifford Rowe, Leroy Rowe and Michael Rowe, and her sister Michelle Rowe.
She is survived by her husband, Bucky Rankin Jr.; her children; Nancy Lynn Day and husband Bill Leach of Fall River, Mass.; Charles James Day and wife Sheri-Anne Day, Danielson, Conn.; grandchildren April Forrest, Kaylee Day and Kyle Day; sibling Debra (Sissy), Ellsworth, and also her loving dog, Toby.
A celebration of life will take place at her home on Sept. 22, 2022, which would have been her 70th birthday.
