Ellsworth
Virginia A. Lindsey, 90, passed away July 19, 2022, at her home. She was born in Belfast, July 14, 1932, the daughter of Charles Franklin and Alma Beatrice (Plumber) Young.
Ginny and John shared a lasting love since a young age. She was a loving, generous mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Her greatest joy was family gatherings with her loved ones near. She was always interested in what they were all doing. Ginny worked as a gift buyer for Mr. Paperback for 35 years. She loved her cats, game shows and country music.
She is survived by her son, Terry Lindsey; daughters, Astor Lindsey-Gillis and Andra Lindsey Farrell; grandchildren, Drew Church and partner Christine and their children, Logan and Lucas and fiancée Erin and Darrin Church and son William, daughter Darrian Church Reeves and husband, Connor, Lorna Church-Chick and husband, Bruce, and their sons, Ethan and Johnathan and fiancée, Mindy, Janelle Goodwin Jones and husband, Carter, and their boys, David, Brian and fiancée, Taylor, Andrew and Cody, Melissa Farrell Wilmot and husband, Chad, and their children, Rhett and Reeve, Lorrie Farrell Murphy, Shauna Lindsey Smith and husband, Kevin; great-great grandchildren, Noah, Justin, Nora, Cash and Ellis-Jon. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, John; son, Johnny; her parents, son-in-law, Larry Farrell; granddaughter Carrie-Ann; great-grandson Edward; foster brother, Russell Studer; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, July 25, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a funeral service will be Tuesday, July 26, at 1 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth.
