Stephen John Pileski, 64, died unexpectedly Nov. 28, 2021, at his home. He was born in Bridgeport, Conn., Nov. 10, 1957, the son of Stanley and Elizabeth (Bonai) Pileski.
Stephen graduated from Calhoon MEBA Engineering School. He served two years in the Merchant Marines and then worked at the Fayerweather Boat Yard. In 1988, he moved to Maine and worked many years in the power industry, and he recently retired from Hinckley Yachts.
He enjoyed fishing, boating, RC airplanes and loving his grandchildren. He was always tinkering and building something, mostly to give to others.
Stephen was a humble member of the recovery community and a Hospice volunteer.
Steve is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ellen (Hinds) Pileski; son, Michael; two adopted grandchildren, Stephen John and Michael Dana Fulcher; daughter, Kelly Pileski; grandchildren, Elizabeth Sue Pileski and William Ryan Pileski; sister, Diane Bonomo, and husband, Fran; Aunt Helen Boni; numerous cousins; and his Basenji, Viki.

Visiting hours will be held between 10 and 11:30 a.m. at Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth on Dec. 10, 2021. A memorial service officiated by Marvin Gallaway will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a reception to follow at Big Cat Catering, 163 Bar Harbor Road, Trenton, ME 04605.
