David Wayne Stinson passed away on Jan. 27, 2021, at his home in Phoenix, Ariz. He was born on Nov. 27, 1959, at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. The son of Arnold and Donna (Gross) Stinson, David graduated in the Class of 1978 at Deer Isle-Stonington High School. Upon graduation he worked for Maine Maritime Academy for two years, then left for Phoenix, Ariz., to attend Arizona College of the Bible. Two years later, he started working for Ping Golf until 2021.
David is survived by his parents, Arnold and Donna Stinson, brother Richard Stinson, uncle Wayne and wife, Brenda Stinson, from Thomaston, great-aunt Peggy Small of Tucson, Ariz., several cousins and friend since college Frank Macias from Glendale, Ariz.
Due to the pandemic a memorial service will be held at a later date at the Advent Christian Church, Deer Isle.
