PROSPECT HARBOR

“A season to live, a season to die.” Robert passed away on Oct. 9 at the home of his daughter Megan Adams in Stow, Mass. He joins his heavenly family of mother Mabel (Black) Jordan, father Lawrence Jordan Sr., brothers Lawrence Jr., Frank and Dick and sisters Janet and Sheila. On May 22, 1932,  Bob was born into a loving family that lived simply during hard times.

He graduated from Winter Harbor High School and joined the Air Force to serve his country during the Korean War in Okinawa. He then became an auto mechanic at Studebaker in Concord, N.H. Excelling in that, his employer sent him to Mercedes Benz school to continue his vast knowledge of autos. Restless for the ocean and lobstering, he returned to Maine and continued to lobster until ill health forced him to retire.

During his life, Bob was known best for his sense of humor and big heart and always left people smiling, even in his last days. Bob was an active member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife, Georgina, his daughters Megan (Kingsley Adams) and Denise (Don Littlefield), and sons Gary and Rob (Polly), four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Prospect Harbor Cemetery on Oct. 26 at 2 p.m., with Owen Beal officiating. A gathering of life will be celebrated at the Prospect Harbor Women’s Club immediately following.
