HANCOCK Loris M. Fish, 84, died at home on July 21, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Feb. 14, 1935, in Worcester, Mass., the daughter of Oris and Mae (Lewis) Phelps.
When she was a young lady, Loris enjoyed flying in her father’s small engine plane. She worked many years for various medical practices in Connecticut and Maine. Loris enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She would visit the Ellsworth Public Library every week. She was a past board member of the Ellsworth Historical Society. Loris and her husband, Ray, owned and operated the 1830 House on the Surry Road in Ellsworth for many years. Loris will be remembered as a devoted and supportive mom and grandmom.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen, and husband, Manley Dolley, of Charleston; son, Kenneth Fish, and wife, Laura, of Steep Falls; granddaughters, Autumn Khavari, Bethany Ward and Kerrigan Fish; grandson, Broden Fish; special niece, Lorilee Fish of Mansfield, Mass. In addition to her parents and loving husband, Loris was predeceased by her son, Donald Fish.
