BROOKSVILLE

Marilyn P. Lymburner, 88, died Sept. 29, 2018, at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Brooksville, May 2, 1930, the daughter of Maurice and Dorothy (Fowler) Peasley.

She graduated from Brooksville High School, Class of 1948. Following graduation, she returned to BHS for a post-graduate program to watch over her future husband, Francis “Gig” Lymburner. They recently celebrated close to 64 years of marriage. Marilyn was a member of the Cecelia Rebekah Lodge of Brooksville.

Marilyn, a homemaker, was a wonderful cook who will also be remembered for her beautiful flower gardens, flourishing vegetable gardens, pristine lawn, riding her four-wheeler, lobstering with the “cripple” drying salt fish, and for processing whatever “treasures” were thrown in her kitchen sink by the neighborhood boys. She was certainly a “Mom” to many more than her own three children.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gig, in January. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Henry, and husband, James, of Penobscot; sons, Scott Lymburner of Franklin and Eugene “Gunnar” Lymburner and wife, Kathleen, of Brooksville; eight grandchildren, Nick, Collin, Frank, Andrew, Miche, Cody, Patty and John; great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Sterling, Spencer, Sophie, Emma, Elsie and Addilyn; brother, Berwyn Peasley, and wife, Audrey; sister, Norma Adam and husband, Joe; many wonderful nieces, nephews, good friends and neighbors.

At her request, there will be no services. Gifts in Marilyn’s memory may be made to the Keepers of the Brooksville Baptist Church, c/o Audrey Peasley, 10 Ferry Road, Brooksville 04617
