LONDONDERRY, N.H.
Charles Judson Murch, 83, of Londonderry, N.H., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, at Aurora Senior Living in Derry, N.H. He was born on May 5, 1934, in Franklin, son of Charles J. and Phyllis (DeBeck) Murch.
Charles graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1952. He continued his education at the University of Maine, studying engineering. He worked for Sanders Associates in New Hampshire until 1972 when he opened the White Horse Tavern in Milford followed by the Signers House Restaurant in Merrimack, N.H. He was an avid foreign car enthusiast, a gifted classical guitarist and enjoyed restoring old houses. In his later years he opened his own engineering manufacturing and consulting company, Murch Associates of Londonderry, N.H.
Charles is survived by his daughter-in-law, Kim Murch of Bridgton, three granddaughters, Shelby, Taylor and Lindsay Murch, one great-granddaughter, Adalyn Doty, two brothers, Wayne Murch of Franklin and Sydney Murch of Merrimack, N.H., one sister, Delores York of New Jersey, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Frederick Murch, in 2013 and his sisters, Leona May, Marilyn Haslam and Irene Soper.
Private family memorial services will be held at a later date in Maine.
