FRANKLIN
Michael Harvard Bellatty passed away peacefully at home on March 20 with family by his side. He was born in Presque Isle July 15, 1957, to Harvard Ralph Bellatty (deceased) and Vena (Teddy) Hamel Bellatty (Giles), still with us. Mike is celebrating in heaven with the Lord. Left behind is his caregiver and loving wife, Kenda; children, Michael, Angela, Tommy, Eddie and Natalie; Kenda’s dad, Ken; daughters, Holly, Sammi, Betsy and Sarah; sisters, Lynn and Carol; brothers, Bill, PF, Eric and all of their extended families; seven grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mike would have wanted to mention Uncle Bill, Aunt Royce and baby Kenda, who all had a special place in his heart.
Mike enlisted in the Army in 1978 and retired with the rank of first sergeant after 20 years of honorable service. He eventually returned to Franklin, where he lived among family and friends for the rest of his life. He was a frequent flyer at the Franklin Vets Club, knew everyone in town and was willing to give a hand to anyone he met.
There will be a celebration of Mike’s life on July 7 at 4 p.m. at the Franklin Veterans Club. We will be sad for awhile but take comfort in knowing that Mike is with his dad, grandparents, Paul, and definitely playing poker with Abbey.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Franklin Veterans Club in Mike’s memory for the Flags Over Franklin Program. Franklin Veterans Club, P.O. Box 66, Franklin, ME 04634.
