ORLAND – Austin Wayne Ashmore, 18, passed away suddenly on April 25, 2016. He was born on May 6, 1997, in Blue Hill the son of Joshua W. Ashmore and Janice (Lawless) Dean.
Austin was known as loving, an old soul, and a young man who loved gardening, fishing, spending time in his kayak and writing poetry. He enjoyed working with computers and working with his hands to build things. He had a love and passion for photography. Austin loved to cook and this left a lasting impression on those he met. Austin was an avid animal enthusiast especially that of exotic birds. He invented chicken and duck clothes for his animals. He was a fan of Lady Gaga.
Austin is survived by his parents; Joshua W. Ashmore and partner Pam Sinclair of Brooklin, Janice Deans and husband, Brooks, of Orrington, grandparents Bruce W. Ashmore and partner Jody of Verona Island, Onna Allen and husband, Paul, of Verona Island, great-grandfather Dick Wilson of Orono, five siblings; Jackson, Aiden, Brittany, Brice and Kalie Deans along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery with Pastor Peter Remick officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services. (mitchelltweedie-young.com)
