Truth M. Young, born Sept. 25, 1959, lost her valiant battle with cancer on March 23, 2016. Truth was born to Norman A. Farnsworth Sr. and Violet B. Farnsworth. She was predeceased by her father, Norman A. Farnsworth Sr.
Truth was always a hard worker and lived life to the fullest. She obtained her CNA and CRMA certifications. She worked at Narraguagus Estates and worked at the Nautica Pub and Chase’s Restaurant, where she met many friends local and from away. Her most recent job was at Birch Bay Village, where she worked until she was unable to continue her duties.
Her favorite pastime was her horses and you could find her riding almost every day. She also enjoyed going on vacations with Bruce and many of her closest friends.
Truth is survived by her husband, Bruce Young; mother Violet Farnsworth of Milbridge; one brother Norman Farnsworth Jr. and his wife, Sarah; two sisters Rachel Newenham of Steuben and Elsie Tracy of Newburgh; many nieces and nephews and too many friends to list.
We would like to extend a very special thanks to an exceptional person and friend Cathy Mitchell of Columbia Falls, for without her help she would have been lost. A special thanks is also extended to her niece, Dolores Rossi.
We want to also thank Birch Bay Village for their exceptional support during her fight with cancer. Also special thanks to fellow workers and staff and also to the MDI Hospital staff.
There will be a celebration of Truth’s life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SPCA of Hancock County, 141 Bar Harbor Road, Trenton, ME 04605.
