LIVERMORE – Wendell Dean Rolfe Sr. of Livermore passed on Nov. 18, 2016, in Lewiston surrounded by family. He was born June 20, 1941, in Gouldsboro, the son of Elwood and Anna Rolfe.
He married his wife of 56 years, Betty Schoppee, on Aug. 19, 1960.
In his early years, he was a clam digger and also worked for DeCoster Egg Farm of Turner. He retired in 1990 and spent his days making memories with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of Livermore, sons Wendell Rolfe Jr. and wife, Rhonda, of Livermore, Jimmy Rolfe of Livermore, Scott Rolfe and wife, Beth, of Leeds, daughter Kathy Huffman and husband, Steve, of Turner, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers Melvin and Wesley Rolfe.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 4, 2016, at the West Bay Cemetery in Gouldsboro, followed by a celebration of life at the Knights of Pythias Hall, Route 1, Gouldsboro.
