Jane A. Washek

LAMOINE – Jane A. Washek, 76, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, after a long illness at Seaport Village Healthcare in Ellsworth. Jane was born July 21, 1940, in Boston, Mass., the daughter of John H. and Marie M. (Jenkins) Washek. She was a graduate of Wayland High School in Wayland, Mass. Jane was our family historian, loved tea parties, gardening and most of all Maine.

Jane is survived by a niece, Kelleigh Lynch, and her husband, Michael, of Upton, Mass.; three nephews, John Washek and his wife, Kelly, of Hopkinton, Mass., Kevin Washek and fiancée, Amy Beckett, of Wayland, Mass., and Matthew Washek and his wife, Marie, of Newton, Mass.; several grand-nieces and grand-nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Phillip J. Aube, in 2007; and brother John B. Washek.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, ME 04605. Interment will be at the Bourne National Veterans Cemetery, Bourne, Mass., at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane’s memory may be made to the Beth C. Wright Cancer Center, P.O. Box 322, Ellsworth, ME 04605.
