Ellsworth
George Alvin Stevens, of Ellsworth, died peacefully, on July 1, 2022, at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston. He was born in Newburyport, Mass., on Sept. 11, 1939, to Omar Stevens and Mary Rogers Stevens.
He is survived by his adopted son, Bret Stevens (Carol), their children Sierra Stevens and Lauren Parker (Tyler), great-grandson Aiden Parker, all of Colorado; and granddaughters Sabrina DeBeck (Ky Nguyen) and MacKenzi Stevens, all of Texas. George was predeceased by his parents and adopted daughter, Stacey Stevens. His beloved Rocky the Cat has found a loving home.
In Maine, he worked as desk clerk and manager at the Brookside Motel and as custodian for many years at Collier Rehab and Living Center. George loved animals, especially cats Lucy and Rocky. He took pride in his gardening, sharing the bounty with others.
