Ellsworth
Mrs. Rose Marie Gaines (nee Connors), 90, formerly of Camden, Maine, passed away on July 4, 2022. She was known as “Mom” to all of her family and friends. She was born Nov. 2, 1931, in Archbald, Pa., the daughter of the late Paul E. Connors and Lillian J. Connors (nee Platzer)
She had the most important job of being Mom to her children, Karen Davis and Wil Gaines, both of Ellsworth. Mom came to live with Wil and Veena Gaines after her husband, Roy Gaines, passed away in 2003. Mom got busy helping with Hospice work and community service at the local jail. She loved people, took great interest in them, and really cared for them. As she grew to know the Lord, Mom became a great prayer warrior and would call out to God for any prayer needs that came to her attention.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph Connors and Paul E. Connors Jr., and her sister, Evelyn Eby. She is survived by her children, Karen and Dave Davis and Wil and Veena Gaines, and sister, Susan Tuss, of Downingtown, Pa.
Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration service to be held at Ellsworth Assembly of God Church at 131 Beechland Road, Sunday, July 10, at 10 a.m.
