Brooksville
David French, 59, of Brooksville passed away Feb. 3 at home in the care of his family after a short illness. Born April 3, 1962, in Dover, N.J., he moved to Brooksville in 1978 and graduated from George Stevens Academy in 1980. Dave worked in construction and served many summers as caretaker for a camp for city youth in the Poconos region.
Dave lived the majority of his adult life in Maine working as a sternman on a lobster boat and as a handyman. Dave enjoyed fishing, camping and wood working. He is survived by his mother, Lois French, of Brooksville and brother Larry French of Canton, N.Y. He was predeceased by his father, George French, also of Brooksville.
