Joyce Donnell went to heaven to be with her husband, Ray, and daughter Brenda (Boo) Rogerson on Oct. 17, 2021. She was born Sept. 11, 1939, to Virginia and Clarence Remick.
She was known as Nana on Verona Island, Big Nana and Josie. Family and friends were of great importance to her. She enjoyed crafts of many kinds and trips to Las Vegas with Ray.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents; brothers Leslie Remick and Donald Clark; sister Carolyn Murphy; niece Alana Reed, stepson Danny Donnell; grandson P.J. Donnell; and two best friends Margo Bennet and Phyllis Rankin.
She is survived by daughters Cheryl Sutherland and Jake, Julie Gilley and Herbie; sons Gary Rogerson and Wendy-Jo, Mark Rogerson and Annette; granddaughter Christy Allison and Steven; grandsons Kevin Gilley and January, Herb Gilley Jr. and Tammy, Justin Sutherland and Noel, Lucas Rogerson, Logan Rogerson and Kobe Rogerson; great-grandchildren Landon Allison, Nathan Gilley, Caroline Gilley and Bailey Rogerson; brother Ralph Remick; nephews Pastor Peter Remick and Anne and Steven Richards; nieces Jean Sargent and Boyd and Diane Clark; special stepdaughter Maria Farmer and Mike; step-granddaughter Sheena Mcgahuey and Jesse; step-great-grandson Jerrick; stepson Scott Donnell and family; cousin Linda Douglas; her true friend of 77 years, Dottie Harriman; Joyce Rogerson, whom she thought of as a daughter; Debra Sawyer, who always lends a helping hand; and good friend Linda Kasperski.
