Sherry Gray, beloved wife, sister and friend, passed away on May 24 after a brief illness, at the age of 64. Her life was exemplified by her unbounded love of her husband, family church and her four cats. Sherry is remembered as a lovely person who enjoyed her multiple craft and arts projects. Sherry was born in Colorado and virtually spent her entire life in Maine, where she met her longtime husband. Sherry worked over the years for various local organizations providing accounting and medical billing services.
Her rich life centered around her faith in God, her church, the Community of Christ, and State Street in Ellsworth, practicing her incredible kindness and love. She was a longstanding active member of the church. Sherry and her husband, Mickey, retired a few years ago and spent most of their time supporting her beloved mother.
Sherry is survived by her husband of 37 years, Mickey, her father, Tiny, brothers, Kerry and Gregg, their spouses, Mary Ann and Daphne, respectively, and many nieces and nephews. Sherry was predeceased by her mother, Jean, last year.
A memorial service is planned for July, notice to follow. It will be held at Community of Christ Church, 283 State St., Ellsworth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Community of Christ Church, P.O. Box 1594, Ellsworth, ME 04605.
