Gouldsboro
Nathaniel C. Bradley passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 17, 2021, following a period of declining health. Nat was born on April 5, 1944, in Boston, Mass., to Cameron “Cam” Bradley and Anne Louise Schieffelin “Co” Bradley. He spent his younger days growing up in Southborough, Mass., with his three sisters on Wolfpen Farm.
Nat attended Fay School in Southborough, Mass., graduated to St. Paul’s School, Concord, N.H., and graduated summa cum laude from Babson College, Wellesley, Mass. Nat went on to earn his RN at MGH, Boston, Mass., then entered the Army and was sent to Vietnam to care for wounded soldiers, children and whomever needed his loving care. He was the night supervisor at Metropolitan State Hospital for Children for many years, before moving to Gouldsboro, where he worked for many years at Winter Harbor Marina before retiring.
He was a loving, giving human being who volunteered his many gifts to several organizations in the Ellsworth/Gouldsboro area. Nat made many dear friends through his involvement with AA. Those who knew Nat loved him!
He leaves behind his loving family, Jane Segal Bradley, Gouldsboro; Helen “Puff” Uhlman, South Berwick; Edith “Dodie” Perkins, Southborough, Mass.; and Sheila and George “Chipper” Daley, Gouldsboro; nieces Holly Sears Parmenter, Jennifer Jay Nelson and nephews Christopher Cameron Curtis, Duff David Uhlman and William Schieffelin Perkins. He also will be greatly missed by his great-nephews Cameron, Jacob, Jay, Samuel, Wilder, Fitch and a great-niece, Callia. He cared deeply for his cousins Tim and Susan Schieffelin, their four daughters, as well as Sarah Bradley.
A service will be held whenever we are able to gather together in Nat’s memory.
Arrangements in care of Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. Condolences may be expressed at www.jordanfernald.com.
