Blue Hill
Sylvia (Sue) Duffy, 83, died at home on Jan. 4, 2021. She was born in Sedgwick, Dec. 5, 1937, the daughter of Frank and Cynthia (Hooper) Keefe.
Sue was a graduate of George Stevens Academy, Class of 1956, and then attended cosmetology school. She worked as a hairdresser for about 10 years. In 1958, she married her lifelong love, Chandler Duffy. She was an avid Red Hatter. She loved to garden, walk her beloved dogs, spend time with family and friends playing cards. She was also an excellent baker and cook.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Dawn Moraisey; grandson, Matthew Duffy; and two precious great-grandchildren, Juliet and Roselynn Duffy, all of Blue Hill; sister, Katherine Smith of Surry; brothers, Norman Keefe of Sedgwick and Stanley Keefe of Bath. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years; son, Steve Duffy; brother, Calvin; and sister, Malissa Carter.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Mountainview Cemetery, Blue Hill.
