Orland
Angelo Panaro, 61, of Orland passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Nov. 24. He was born March 25, 1959, in Hartford, Conn., to Vanda Pace Panaro and Mario Panaro. Angelo graduated from Manchester High School, Manchester, Conn.
Angelo was incredibly in love with his home state of Maine. He admired all simplicities including fall foliage, the Atlantic Ocean coastline, driving through the mountains, wood stove heat, cold climate food forest, boats, snowmobiling, garden-fresh vegetables and four seasons of weather. Union Pond Park in Manchester, Conn., was one of Angelo’s favorite places to reminisce. He enjoyed the scenic trails all year round with his friends and family.
He is survived by his children Mario and wife, Lauren, of Bucksport and Megan and husband, Joshua, of Deer Isle; grandchild Eli; siblings John and husband, Dale, of North Carolina and Joseph and wife, Meg, of Connecticut, Marie and husband, Joseph, of Connecticut, and Michael; nieces and nephews, Jessica, Ned, Ann, Amy, Leah, Aaron and Christopher. Aunts and uncles; Ezio, Mario and Jennie. Cousins: Craig, Mark, Lori, Noreen and Joanne. He was predeceased by his parents and uncles Ezio and Mario.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust in Orland. Thank you to Northern Light Cancer Care Mary Dow Center.
