LAMOINE/ST. ALBANS – Doris Libby Fuller Lehr, 91, passed away at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth on Aug. 7, 2016. She was born, Sept. 8, 1924, in Hartland, the daughter of Harry R. and Leta (Merrick) Libby.Image may be NSFW.

Doris graduated from Hartland High School. She married W. Bigelow Fuller and they were happily married for more than 31 years until his sudden death at age 50. She then worked as a secretary. After many years as a widow, she was married to Willard Lehr Jr. until his death almost 15 years later. She moved in with her son Mike and his wife, Sue, for her remaining years.
She enjoyed helping the women’s group at church, was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, and loved spending her summers at her cottage. She was a prolific crafter and made many keepsakes for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Doris is survived by her daughter Kathryn Clark and husband, Russell, of Starks, son Richard Fuller and wife, Linda, of Waterville, son Michael Fuller and wife, Susan, of Lamoine, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Besides her husbands, she was predeceased by her toddler son Paul, infant daughter Pamela, an infant granddaughter and her sister Marie Lombard.
A memorial service will be held at The First Congregational Church, 2 Church St., Ellsworth on Aug. 27, 2016, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Congregational Church or the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.directcremationofmaine.com.
