Robert James Lee Jr., 76, died peacefully at Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital June 26, 2020. He was born in Bar Harbor, March 13, 1944, the son of Robert James and Catherine (McGrath) Lee Sr.
Robert attended the Old Bar Harbor High School and began his career with Harold McQuinn Inc. immediately after graduation. He worked there as an equipment operator and truck driver for 54 years. Robert enjoyed his Morgan horse, Cookie, his garden, being outside and traveling to Prince Edward Island twice a year. Robert also enjoyed fairs, especially the Blue Hill and Fryeburg ones. He was a good-hearted man loved by everyone and always looking to joke around.
He is survived by his partner of 20 years, Rhonda Carter; sons, Robert (Bobby) Lee III and his wife, Anne, Jason and his wife, Lesli; grandchildren, Justin, Colby, Benjamin and Jack; siblings, Karen Farley and Wayne Lee and partner Trish; sister-in-law, April Lee; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Richard (Dickie).
At Robert’s request, there will be no services.
