Ellen Closson Ramirez passed away peacefully on April 26, 2020, in her Manhattan apartment with her devoted caregiver, Sarah, at her side. She was born in 1925 in Ellsworth to Elmer Closson and Nathalie Mckenzie. She is survived by her brother Roy, his wife, Anne, many nieces and nephews, good friends Stella and Sarah and the city she so loved, New York, N.Y.
