WINTER HARBOR and Hudson, Fla.
Alfred Morton Joy, 77, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Dec. 12, 2019. His last words were asking Jesus for forgiveness of his sins and that he accepted him as his Lord and Savior. Alfred was born and raised in Winter Harbor on Aug. 16, 1942, the second son of Jordan M. Joy Jr. and Amelia (Johnson) Joy.
He is survived by his wife, Regina, of Hudson, Fla.; his son Chris Joy and his wife, Gricelda, of Florida; his daughter Kim Joy of Bangor; four grandchildren; his brother Jordan (Joe) Joy III and wife, Lynn, of Sullivan; several nieces and a nephew.
A special thank you to a special cousin, Everett Smith of Florida, who went above and beyond to help Alfred and Regina through his illness.
There will be a private graveside service at the family lot in Winter Harbor in the spring.
