HANCOCK – Kendall L. Alley, 84, of Hancock died June 12, 2016, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born Dec. 3, 1931, in Jonesport, the son of Calvin and Edna (Bagley) Alley.
He served four years in the Navy and 17 years in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a fisherman for many years, and worked alongside his friend Tim Goodwin at Ralph Stanley’s Boat Yard. Kendall enjoyed camping and working with wood.
He is survived by his wife, Arvilla; two sons, Jeff Alley and his wife, Kelly, of Bushnell, Fla., Scott Alley and wife, Judy, of Southwest Harbor; one daughter, Diane of Southwest Harbor; two brothers, Cleo Alley and wife Donna of Northport, Earl Alley and wife, Christine, of Southwest Harbor; one sister, Faye Greel and husband Bill of Trenton. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and three step-children.
Kendall was predeceased by his son Robert Alley and granddaughter Audrie Alley.
The family would like to thanks the staff at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care that Kendall received.
At Kendall’s request, there will be no services.
