BROOKS

Dorothy Louise (Cousins) Magoon of Brooks went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 1, at EMMC Comfort Care Unit while being attended by her family and many friends. She was the daughter of Hoyt Cousins and Lela Cousins of Town Hill.

“Mimi” is survived by her three children, Kenneth Theobald of Brooks, Jane Allen in Puerto Rico and Dan Theobald of Waltham. Her children, five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren are all comforted by Psalm 116:15 “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints!”

“Mimi” never forgot a birthday. She never failed to be available. And she was always eager to support her family in any of their endeavors.

“Dottie” Magoon was always the first in line to help a neighbor. She had a card for every occasion that she never failed to send. She tirelessly knitted hundreds of mittens for children that she donated. She knitted countless “Prayer Shawls” for the sick that were distributed by her church, the First Congregational Church of Brooks!

Dorothy Magoon’s assignment from God was to help others. Matthew 25:22 “Well done; My good and faithful servant … Enter into the joy of your Lord!”

Funeral services will be at the Brooks Congregational Church at 11 a.m. on Tuesday April 9, 2019. Visitation with friends and family will be held in the Varney Building next to the church immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, Dottie would like donations to be sent to her beloved church to continue to help others.
