WALTHAM
Delmont A. Lymburner, born April 4, 1948, passed away peacefully on Nov. 25, 2018, at Maine Coast Hospital surrounded by family. He was the son of the late Allen and Abbie (Gray) Lymburner. He was a graduate of George Stevens Academy and worked many years as a milkman for Hancock County Creamery, eventually retiring from Garelick Farms. He served his community through volunteer work, including time with the Franklin Fire Department and the Boy Scouts. He will be remembered for his generosity, big heart, and love for children and animals. Most of all he loved time spent in nature and in later years dubbed himself “the Webb Pond Hermit.”
Dell was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Shad; and his beloved wife, Helen. He is survived by his brother, Sumner; his sister, Sherris; his daughters, JoDee and Kaycee; Kaycee’s husband, Tommy; stepchildren, Shawn, Kim and Alan and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Dell was loved by many communities and enjoyed spending time with his Webb Pond friends, children, and some special caregivers, including Tina Higgins, Jeremiah Jordan, and Charlotte Jordan as well as their families.
Services will be held at Hillside Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, with a reception to follow at the Eastbrook Community Building. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Waltham-Eastbrook Youth Association, c/o Mary Jordan, 1525 Waltham Road, Waltham, ME 04605.
