Faith “Kathi” Ensworth died peacefully on May 21, 2018, in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She was born Faith Naomi Rudy to John G. and Dorothy M. Rudy in Pasadena, Calif., on June 11, 1929. She attended Pasadena City College and graduated from Westmont College with a degree in music. On Sept. 7, 1951, she married George Ensworth in Pasadena.
Kathi was a violinist, pianist and choral director with a passion for church music. She worked as a minister of music in West Peabody, Mass., as an administrative assistant in East Lansing, Mich., and Danvers, Mass., and as a medical transcriptionist in Boston, Mass., and Blue Hill.
She loved God, her husband, her family, music, reading, wolves and bears, her cats, feeding the birds, football and Maine. Her husband, George, died Aug. 16, 2001, in Blue Hill. She is survived by a brother, John H. Rudy (Connie) of Altadena, Calif., three children, Timothy J. Ensworth (Lynne) of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Heather M. Ensworth of South Hamilton, Mass., and Gary L. Ensworth of Rockland, and by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at St. Francis by the Sea Episcopal Church in Blue Hill on July 26, 2018, at 4 p.m.
