STONINGTON AND BUXTON
James Edward Larrabee, age 72, of Buxton and Stonington, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 30, 2017. He was born in Stonington June 9, 1945, to Alex and Martha Larrabee. He graduated from Stonington High School with honors and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Purple Heart during his service. He returned to Stonington, where he served the town as a selectman and on the Stonington Fire Department.
James was predeceased by his father, Alex, his mother, Martha, and his brother Danny Larrabee Sr., all of Stonington. James is survived by his wife, Pat Larrabee, of Buxton; his son Ryan Larrabee and wife, Jennifer, and their children Skylar, Jacob, Olivia and Ava Larrabee of Stonington; and his daughter Ashley Gray and her children Gabrielle and Callow Gray of Sedgwick. He is also survived by his brother George Larrabee of Little Deer Isle, and brother Alex Larrabee Jr. of Stonington. As per his request, there will be no public service.
