Michael Craig Stover passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Sept. 19, 2017. Michael was commonly known as Mikey by a lot of people. He was born on Aug. 8, 1961, in Dexter to Robert and Marguerite Stover. Michael was the kind of person who could make you laugh even when you didn’t want to. He would help anyone who needed a hand, and he was certainly one of a kind.
He always had a smile on his face and a joke to follow. Michael loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. They were all his pride and joy. Michael loved driving his truck and spending time outdoors.
Michael is survived by his mother, Marguerite Stover, daughter Erica Stover, his son Michael Stover Jr., his four grandchildren; Jacob Stover, Ariana Stover, Faithlynn Stover, Aleah Stover, siblings; Phyllis Butler, Carol Knowles, Charlotte Leighton, Rebecca Faulkingham, Brenda Samson, Luanne Vautier, Brian Stover, his very close nephew Scott Leighton as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael was predeceased by his son Eric Stover, father Robert Stover and brother Kenneth Stover.
Interment will be held 2 pm. Saturday, Sept. 30, at Mailey Hill Cemetery, Columbia. A celebration of life will be held by Michael’s family at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, at his daughter’s home, 75 Washington St., Apt 4, Milbridge.
