BLUE HILL
Chandler A. Duffy passed away at home on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017. He was born in Blue Hill, a son of the late Harry (Bob) Duffy and Dorothy (Piper) Duffy. He graduated from GSA, Class of 1957, and went on to Wentworth Institute in Boston to receive his associate degree in drafting.
In 1958, he married his true love, Sylvia (Sue) Keefe, and they raised their family in Blue Hill. Chan was well known as a master plumber and many of the area plumbers today learned their trade from Chan. He was equally well known as an excellent marksman and received many awards to prove it. He was a member of the Ira Berry Lodge No. 128 in Blue Hill.
He was predeceased by both of his parents and his son, Stephen Duffy.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Sylvia Duffy; daughter Dawn; grandson Matthew and wife, Heaven; great-grandkids Juliet and Roselynn; step-great-grandkids Olivia, Damien and Kayden; and many close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Blue Hill Fire Department, Peninsula Ambulance or Hancock County Homecare and Hospice. A private family service has been scheduled. Arrangements entrusted to Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home.
