Gail M. Peterson (Turner). June 29, 1946 – April 5, 2017

Beloved family members and cherished friends mourn the sudden passing of Gail Peterson on April 5, 2017. She died of natural causes at her home in Hancock. She was born June 29, 1946, in Wakefield, Mass., to Stetson Turner of Hancock and Margery Turner (Morgan) of Wakefield.

She was predeceased by her parents; her brother Thomas Turner; and loving husband, Robert “Bob” Peterson. Survived by her brother, Hugh Turner; and daughters, Lisa Puopolo, Pamela Peterson and Monica Donovan.

Gail was known throughout several communities for her kind, accepting and generous heart. She was an avid animal lover, tireless worker for causes she believed in and friend to many who sought her support. In turn, she relied on family and friends who loved and supported her to the end. Her memory will live on in the hearts of many she touched with her compassion and humor.

A celebration of Gail’s life will be held on Saturday, April 15, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at Your Place, 8 Old Mill Road, Ellsworth.
