ELLSWORTH – Harold E. Parker, 99, died March 4, 2017, in Ellsworth. He was born in Ellsworth, Jan. 2, 1918, the son of Russell Lowell and Marguerite White (Kincaid) Parker.
He attended Ellsworth schools and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1935. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces during WWII. Following the war, he was employed by F.W. Beal Co. in Ellsworth for 30 years and retired from Dead River Co. in 1980.
He is survived by his wife of over 66 years, Marie (Fernald) Parker; three children, Rhonda, Andrew and wife, Regina, and William; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four nephews; and his constant feline companion, “Sam the cat.” He was predeceased by his parents; and his only sister, Mary Sadler, who died on March 2, 2017.
There will be no services.
