Judith (“Judy”) (Brown) Marzolf passed away Aug. 21, 2022, at home. She was born May 25, 1956, the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Perry) Brown.

Judy married Michael Marzolf, and together they raised their adored children, Jennifer and Christopher, in Castine. Judy graduated from Bucksport High School. She had a varied career, working at the Castine Community Hospital, a pediatrician office, in banking and retail stores. Judy was also a founding member of the Bagaduce Ambulance.

Judy was happiest doting on her family and friends. She was a second mother to many, all of whom benefited from her love and bountiful homemade meals. No one will forget “Jude’s fudgy num-nums,” along with other scrumptious treats. We all enjoyed spending time with Judy — celebrating holidays, making traditions of baking cookies and decorating gingerbread houses. Judy especially enjoyed hosting family and friends to pool parties. It was always a great day to be at Jude’s pool surrounded by the plants she lovingly cultivated. Judy had the biggest heart, open arms for hugs and a smile for everyone.

She is survived by her loving family, husband, Michael, of 47 years; daughter Jennifer (Scott Luciano); son Christopher (Carrie); grandchildren Gradyn, Landon and Adalyn; sisters Janet, Jane and Julie and their families; and sister-in-law Barbara. She was a very special “Nauntie” to Abel Bowden, her extraordinary companion, and mutual “fish” in the pool. She also leaves behind many dear friends and their children who she considered family. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the first responders for their prompt arrival, and their valiant efforts. Your kindness and consideration during such a difficult time is appreciated and won’t be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held at her home this Saturday, Aug. 27, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Castine Fire Rescue Volunteer Association (P.O. Box 602, Castine, ME 04421) or a charity of choice would be appreciated. Mom, we will miss you every single day, forever. Arrangements by Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Bucksport. www.mitchelltweedie-young.com.
