Otis

Alta Tate passed away peacefully July 26, 2022, at home at the age of 102 with her family by her side. She was born in Mariaville, Jan. 1, 1920, the daughter of Elwood and Flora (Edgecomb) Frost.

She is survived by her two daughters, Isabel (Peggy) O’Halloran and Judith Bell; five grandchildren, Steven O’Halloran and wife, Cathy, Kathy Haass and husband, Greg, Lisa Carter and husband, Chuck, Suzanne Bell and Damon Bell and wife, Amy; seven great-grandchildren, Janeka Doyle and husband, Jeff, and their daughter Charlotte, Chase Haass and wife, Alison, and their sons, Barrett and Beauden, Hailee Carter, Jenna Jordan and husband, Roderick, Carli Blake and husband, Ethan, Grace Gumpp and Jadyn Bell. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Leslie Tate, and her great-granddaughter, Emily Gumpp. She was blessed to have many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews who were very special to her along with her caregiver and friend, Juli.

Private services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Otis Baptist Church, 9 Church Lane, Otis, ME 04605.
