Marcia Ann Stratton

Marcia Ann Stratton passed away on June 11, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Robert and Florence Robinson Pinkham on Dec. 30, 1933. She graduated from Sullivan High School in 1952, and Malden (Mass.) Hospital School of Nursing in 1955. Marcia’s nursing career included Maine Coast Memorial and MDI hospitals, Bar Harbor Public Health Nursing Association and Courtland Living Center. Marcia was an active member of the United Congregational Church of Hancock, the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Hancock Woman’s Club. She leaves her husband Kenny Stratton, sister Ruth Butters, six children, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Marcia’s son Marc Pomroy predeceased her. Open services will be held at noon on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, at Riverside Cemetery in Hancock followed by a celebration of life at Kenny and Marcia’s home, 1342 Highway 1, Hancock, Maine.
