On June 19, Craig Folsom passed away unexpectedly while in the hospital. “The Farmer,” as some would call him, and “My Little Man,” as his partner of 30 years, Roxana Carter, would call him, left this world at 6:26 p.m.

Craig was an incredible musician who wrote thousands of songs that were only ever heard by those closest to him. He was an artist and created many beautiful abstract works. His love of gardening passed his time as he grew older. His intelligence was like no other, and Craig and Roxana’s nightly rituals were watching “Jeopardy” and playing word games. He was Grampa Craig to Jude, the son of Roxana’s daughter Cecelia. They spent many days playing outside and Craig always loved pushing Jude around in his toy car when he was younger. Craig graduated Manchester High School West in 1971, and from Eastern Maine Vocational Technical College in Bangor in 1974 with an associate degree in building construction.

He is brother to twins Keith and Kenny Folsom. He was the son of Don and Betty Folsom of New Hampshire. Craig is survived by his life partner and soulmate, Roxana Carter, and her daughter Cecelia Sanborn and grandson Jude Sanborn; brother Keith Folsom and wife, Elisa, of Bedford; Kenny Folsom and wife, Deborah, of Canterbury; cousins Ronnie Goldthwaite and wife, Cathy, Beth Caillouette and husband, Bruce, and Bev Eddy and husband, Bob, as well as several nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of life at the family camp on Flanders Pond at 1 p.m. on July 31. We ask that friends bring their instruments to honor his life. Refreshments will be provided.
