Helen Minier Clark, 87, has joined her beloved daughter Karen Raylene Clark in heaven. Helen died on June 9, 2022, at her home surrounded by her children and husband. Helen was born on March 22, 1935, in West Orange, N.J., the daughter of Ruth E. (Ash) Minier and Dr. Carl L. Minier.
Helen graduated from high school in West Orange and attended the University of Vermont, where she met her husband of 67 years, T. Wayne Clark. Helen was a dancer and dance instructor. She and her husband lived in South Royalton and Fairhaven, Vt., in the early years of their marriage, where she owned a dance studio. They moved to West Milford, N.J., where she started another dance studio. She was also a bank teller in New Jersey and at age 50, she decided to go back to school to become an RN. She accomplished her goal and worked at nursing homes in New Jersey, Vermont and Maine. They moved to Eastbrook in 1998 to retire. Her many talents included porcelain dolls and teddy bear making.
Helen is survived by her beloved husband, T. Wayne Clark; their son, T. Robert Clark, and his wife, Sue; daughters, Ruth Clark Rafferty and husband, Patrick Rafferty, Marilyn Clark Geydoshek and husband, Michael Geydoshek Jr.; grandson, T. Brandon Clark, and his wife, Jamie; granddaughter, Caitlin Clark Kern, and her husband, Ryker Kern; grandson, Michael Clark, and his wife, Caroline; and granddaughters, Chenery Rafferty, Julia Geydoshek and Ashley Geydoshek. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Minier and Dr. Edward Minier, and her daughter, Karen.
There will be a celebration of life ceremony to be announced at a later date.
