Odenton, Md. and formerly of Ellsworth

Theresa Ellen “Te” Gough died of cancer on Aug. 23, 2019, at the age of 86 in her home in Odenton, Md., while surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Charles Robert “Gooch” Gough (Navy LCDR-retired); their seven children: David, Rob, Jean, Michael, Janice, Brian and Neil; her brother, Tracy Dorgan; and their extended families. Extended family includes eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, a few of whom she never got to meet, but we are certain she adores them just the same.

Te was born on Aug. 20, 1933, in Ellsworth, to Harold and Lena Dorgan. Her siblings are Brent, Ruth and Tracy.

As the wife of a Navy officer, she traveled extensively to places like Puerto Rico, Germany, Alaska, Guam and many of the contiguous states. She was a devoted housewife for much of her life before becoming a school bus driver, along with her husband, Gooch. When Gooch retired from the Navy, they spent several years traveling the across the country in their RV, including regular extended stays in Maine to visit family and friends in Ellsworth, Bar Harbor and surrounding areas.

Te will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery on June 4, 2022. When discussing Arlington as her resting place she said, “I earned it.” Anyone who spent any time with the Gough hooligans would have to agree.
