CLIFTON
A husband, a father, first-born son and a big brother
John E. Soucy Jr. (Little John), 59, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center due to heart failure. John was born Oct. 7, 1962, in Brockton, Mass.
John’s favorite pastime things were watching the Patriots play with his wife and best friend, Toni, going to NASCAR races with family and friends, hunting and spending time with his dad, John Sr. He loved the entire family gathering for the Fourth of July at “mama’s and daddy’s” and setting off fireworks.
His wife, Toni, will miss the love of her life, her best friend, and when he always said, “I love you, Rose, more then you know.” Johnny, his son and “little buddy,” will miss hunting and driving around in the plow truck with him. His daughter Jordan, “his baby,” will miss having long talks with him. He loved how she was such a good listener. He was so proud of who his children have become, and so happy they had found Sabrina and Tyler. His mom, dad, Jim, Jodi and Jen will miss how close they were as a family growing up, “good memories,” our dad always says. He is loved by us all and will be deeply missed.
John is survived by his wife, Toni Soucy, of Clifton; son, Johnny Soucy lll, and girlfriend Sabrina Tucker of Ellsworth; daughter, Jordan Soucy, and boyfriend Tyler Loyte of Greenbush; his parents, John E. Soucy and Mary Jane Soucy of Otis; his brother, James S. Soucy Sr., of Bangor; his sister, Jodi Taylor, of Otis; and his sister, Jenny-Jo Soucy, of Otis. He is also survived by nieces, a nephew, two great-nieces and his dogs, Gauge, Tilly and Miracle.
He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Ruth Maynard, and by Walter Morang lll, his “adopted” brother.
“If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, oh yes, these things, I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. Look for the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much, good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seems all too brief, don’t lengthen your pain with undue grief. Lift up your heart and peace to thee, God wanted me now — He set me free.” We love you to the moon and back!!
A gathering will be held at Comins Hall in Eddington, Saturday, April 9, from noon to 4 p.m. A celebration of life will be held for family on July 4 at his parents’ home.
