Clik here to view.David John Beauchemin, 56, surrounded by family, peacefully passed away March 12, 2016. He is survived by his daughter Jamie L. Mitchell, her companion Ian O’Hara and cherished grandson James Mitchell V of Eastport; companion of many years Rhonda Hebron; sisters Beverly Day of Hancock; Shirley Thurston of Springfield, Mass.; Sandra Just of Chicopee, Mass.; and brother Alan Flye and wife, Katy, of Hancock; many nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his parents Irene and Robert Flye. He will be missed by the many friends he made while living in Eastport and Ellsworth.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, David served as past commander of the Ellsworth VFW and the American Legion. David worked at Maine Maritime Academy until his retirement. He loved the Red Sox and keeping baseball stats.
Funeral services will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta on April 4, 2016, at 2 p.m.
