Brooklin
Prin Albert Allen Jr., 91 years young, passed away on Feb. 18, 2022, surrounded by his family at his home in Brooklin.
Prin was born on July 22, 1930, the youngest of four children of the late Prin Albert Allen Sr. and Ruth (Babson) Allen.
Prin married the love of his life, Joan (Williams) Allen, in 1951, and after two years of service in the Army during the Korean War in Germany, they returned to Brooklin to take over his father’s construction company and raise their family.
Prin loved building, imparting his famous words of wisdom and supporting his community.
Prin is survived by Michael and Janeanne Allen Sr. of Brooklin, Mark and Lauri Allen of Maryland, Susanne and Michael Strout, Prin A. Allen III and Matthew and Tania Allen, all from Brooklin. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Gloria (Williams) Hart and her husband, Wes, of Holden. Prin was preceded in death by his wife, Joan, his infant daughter Constance Joan in 1961 and his siblings.
Private graveside service will be held in the spring.
