Captain Harris E. Tucker, 87, of Gouldsboro, passed away on Jan. 10,2022.
Harris was a proud graduate of Maine Maritime Academy and his life as a Merchant Marine. He took great pride in being a captain and traveling the world along with his wife, Marie.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ellen Schlitt, her husband, Michael, and children, Bonnie, Chrissy and Michael; daughter, Melanie Roberts, and her children, Melissa and Ryan; son, Mark Schoppee, his wife, Erika, and children, Austin, Devin, Kegin, Aspin, Jasmin and Aydin; stepson, Jeffrey Crowley, his wife, Margie, and children, Carey Ann, Jeremy, Jennifer and Michael; granddaughter, Shannon Crowley; sister, Adriann Tucker; brother, Frank Tucker, and son, Kenneth, and wife, Jo-Anna; several great-grandchildren; many cousins; and special friends Russell, Chubba and Fulton.
He was predeceased by his parents, Clayton and Charlotte; wife, Marie; and stepson, Christopher Crowley.
Burial will take place in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Cherryfield.
