Mollie L. Carter, 69, passed away peacefully at her home on Jan. 5, 2022. She was born in Bangor, March 13, 1952, daughter of Aldis and Marion (Kemp) Goodwin.
Mollie was known for her wild spirit and dedication to work in the hospitality industry for over 25 years. Her many years working for and managing the housekeeping department at the Holiday Inn in Ellsworth allowed for her to create many lasting friendships.
Mollie and Jasper have been married since 1996 but have been together for the past 40 years. There was never a dull moment whenever Mollie was around, and she will always be remembered as the life of the party.
Mollie is survived by her husband, Jasper “Butch” Carter; daughters, Lorrie and Danielle; siblings, Marie, Carl, Philip, Joe and Linda; grandchildren, Christina, Josh, Victoria and Michael; and many other loving family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held 1-4 p.m., Jan. 22, 2022, at the VFW Hall, 419 Main St., Ellsworth.
